Before Your Session

Arrive wearing comfortable clothing that allows easy movement. Bring any necessary paperwork, previous imaging (if applicable), or referral notes.

The session begins with a brief check-in with your therapist. You’ll discuss how you’ve been feeling since the last session, any changes in symptoms, and your progress with home exercises or activities.

During Your Session

Your therapist may guide you through light exercises or stretches to prepare your body. They may also reassess your mobility, strength, or pain levels to gauge progress.

Depending on your needs, your session may include manual therapy, such as soft tissue massage, joint mobilization, or trigger point release, to address pain or stiffness.

Your therapist will guide you through specific exercises designed to improve strength, flexibility, balance, or coordination. These exercises target the root cause of your issue and are tailored to your goals.

Your therapist will explain the purpose of each intervention, provide real-time feedback on your movements, and teach you techniques to practice at home. This may include postural corrections, ergonomic tips, or pain management strategies.

The session typically ends with a cool-down period, such as light stretching or relaxation techniques, to help your body recover and prevent soreness.

After Your Session

You’ll receive instructions or updates on exercises to do at home to reinforce the session’s work and support your recovery between visits.

Your therapist will discuss your progress and any adjustments to your treatment plan. You may set goals for your next session and receive advice on staying active or managing your symptoms.

If necessary, your therapist may communicate with your other healthcare providers to ensure cohesive care.

Gina and Mobility Health have been great setting me on a path to recovery after bariatric surgery. I was so overweight I walked with a waddle, and had no balance. She helped me understand how my muscles have been “on strike,” and how to get them back to work. Physical therapy requires work from the patient, outside of the sessions and Gina helps set you up for success to keep your recovery moving forward.

Today is my last day of Physical Therapy. After 4 weeks of hard work I no longer have neck pain. I am able to sit at my desk and work without discomfort. I have learned a lot about posture and exercise and am committed to doing the work on my own to stay strong, keep improving my mobility and continue to be pain free.
