Injuries can happen to anyone, but some people face higher risks than others. For instance, athletes, the elderly, and those with physically demanding jobs are more prone to injuries. Physical therapy is essential not only for recovering from injuries but also for preventing them. Whether you’re looking to heal or prevent future injuries, we’re here to help you build strength, reduce risks, and restore your confidence to live an active life doing what you love.

Pre & Post Surgery Care

Is surgery in your near future? If so, you may feel frightened or even overwhelmed. But at Mobility Health Physical Therapy, we’ll be by your side along the way. It can also improve your long term results. We’re here to help you get back on your feet and feeling great again.

Physical Therapy For Head

Your head, naturally, is a particularly complex area of the body. So an injury or pain in this area can be troublesome. Whether it’s chronic headaches, a concussion or traumatic brain injury, or another concern, physical therapy can help.

Physical Therapy TMJ

Your temporomandibular joint (TMJ) connects your jaw to the rest of your skull. An issue with this joint, or the muscles and ligaments around it, is called a TMJ disorder. If you have had an injury, or are experiencing pain or discomfort physical therapy can help.

Physical Therapy For Neck

Neck pain is one of the most common disorders related to your musculoskeletal system. Considering how many of us spend our days sitting in front of a computer, it’s easy to see why. If you’re dealing with neck pain, it can have a significant impact on your day-to-day life. It can restrict your mobility, trigger headaches, and more. But it doesn’t have to be that way – physical therapy can help.

Physical Therapy For Shoulder

Your shoulder joint has the largest range of motion of any joint in your body. There are also plenty of ligaments and muscles in this area to help facilitate movement. Since this area is so complex, lots can go wrong. If you’re experiencing mobility issues in your shoulder due to pain, injury, or from surgery, physical therapy can help.

Physical Therapy For Hand & Wrist

Cooking a meal? Typing at a computer? Playing a sport? Gardening in the yard? For all these activities and many more, your hands and wrists play a critical role. If you have an injury, arthritis, or sprain or stain to either of them, it can severely restrict your day-to-day life. Physical therapy can help manage pain, improve mobility, and improve your strength.

Physical Therapy For Elbow & Arm

They may be called tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow, but you don’t need to be an athlete to experience them. They’re also not the only causes of elbow or arm pain. Elbow injuries can happen from overuse, impacts, fractures, workplace injuries, and of course, sports. But whatever the cause, physical therapy can help. With the right exercises and treatments, we can manage your pain, increase your flexibility, and more.

Physical Therapy For Back & Spine

If you’re having issues with your spine, it can affect your entire body. Back pain can spread to your arms and legs, and cause headaches as well. It can also significantly impact your mobility, strength, and more. But there is help available. Physical therapy can help with pain management as well as improving range of motion, strength, and more.

Physical Therapy For Hips

Your hips are responsible for bearing a lot of the weight in your body, so they can be a common source of pain and injury. If you’ve suffered an injury, preparing for surgery or had surgery, have mobility issues from sitting too much, or pain from wear and tear, physical therapy can help.

Physical Therapy For Pelvis

Your pelvic floor consists of the muscles between your tailbone and pubic bone. These support the bowel, bladder, as well as reproductive organs. Concerns with this area can cause a wide range of symptoms, including pain, urinary incontinence, constipation, and more. It’s most common in postpartum women, but anyone can experience pelvic floor issues. But physical therapy can help.

Physical Therapy For Knee

Your upper and lower legs meet at your knees. It’s made up of three bones – your thigh bone (femur), shin bone (tibia), and kneecap (patella). They’re also accompanied by ligaments, muscles, cartilage, and tendons. All these parts together go a long way toward keeping you mobile. Surgery, injuries or illnesses can cause restricted mobility, pain, balance issues, and more. But physical therapy can help.

Physical Therapy For Shin

Are your shins hurting after exercise? Do they feel sore or tender, especially along the inner side? If so, you may have “shin splints”, and it’s a type of repetitive strain injury. Pain in your shins during exercise can sometimes be solved with rest and ice, but if it doesn’t, there may be a deeper issue. Physical therapy will help you get to the bottom of your shin pain and help prevent further injuries.

Physical Therapy For Ankle

If you’re an athlete, your ankles will play a crucial role in almost any sport you play. But ankle injuries can occur as a result of more than just sports. A single misstep can cause an ankle injury that can make it difficult to walk afterwards. Physical therapy can help get you back on your feet, rebuild your strength, reduce your pain, and improve your mobility.

Physical Therapy For Foot

Like your hands, your feet contain many different bones, ligaments, and moving parts. In fact, your feet are home to 26 different bones, 33 joints, and more than 100 ligaments and tendons. And that’s important, because without your feet, you don’t have a leg to stand on. If you’re feeling pain or discomfort in your feet, physical therapy can help.

Physical Therapy For Hamstring

The hamstrings, a group of muscles located at the back of your thigh, are essential for bending your knee, extending your hip, and powering activities like running, jumping, and walking. Growing older can come with all sorts of new physical ailments. It’s not uncommon to experience a loss of mobility, balance, strength, and endurance as you grow older. But while physical therapy can’t do anything about your age, we can at least help you stay as mobile and independent as possible.

What is physical therapy, and how can it help me?

Physical therapy focuses on improving movement, reducing pain, and restoring function through tailored exercises, hands-on techniques, and patient education. It can help with recovery from injuries, surgeries, chronic pain conditions, and mobility issues.

Do I need a referral from my doctor to see a physical therapist?

This depends on your location and insurance plan. Many states allow direct access to physical therapy without a doctor’s referral, but your insurance provider may have specific requirements.

What conditions can physical therapy treat?

Physical therapy can address a wide range of conditions, including sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, arthritis, chronic pain, neurological conditions (e.g., stroke or Parkinson’s), balance disorders, and general mobility issues.

How long does physical therapy treatment take?

The length of treatment varies depending on your condition, goals, and progress. Some patients may see improvements in a few sessions, while others may require several weeks or months of therapy.

What should I expect during my first physical therapy appointment?

Your first session typically includes an evaluation of your condition, discussion of your medical history, and development of a personalized treatment plan. You may also begin some exercises or hands-on therapy during this session.

Can physical therapy help prevent injuries?

Yes, physical therapy can play a crucial role in injury prevention. Therapists assess movement patterns, identify potential risks, and provide strength, flexibility, and balance exercises to reduce the likelihood of future injuries.
