Chronic & Acute Pain

When pain becomes chronic — lasting longer than three months — or occurs suddenly due to injury or surgery, it can significantly impact your daily life. Mobility Health Physical Therapy specializes in treating both chronic and acute pain related to accidents, workplace or sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, arthritis, and overuse conditions. Through individualized treatment plans, we work to reduce pain, address the underlying cause, and help you return to comfortable, functional movement.

Injury Recovery & Prevention

Injuries can affect anyone, but athletes, older adults, and individuals with physically demanding jobs often face higher risks. Physical therapy plays a critical role not only in recovering from injuries, but also in preventing them. Whether you’re healing from a recent injury or looking to reduce the risk of future setbacks, our physical therapists help you build strength, improve movement patterns, and regain confidence so you can stay active and resilient.

Pre- & Post-Surgery Care

Facing surgery can feel overwhelming—but you don’t have to go through it alone. Physical therapy before surgery can help prepare your body, improve outcomes, and reduce the risk of complications. After surgery, targeted rehabilitation can shorten recovery time, restore mobility, and improve long-term results. At Mobility Health Physical Therapy, we guide you through every phase of pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation, helping you get back on your feet safely and effectively.

Mobility & Performance

We support individuals across all stages of life and activity levels. For older adults, we provide compassionate care to address mobility limitations related to aging, injury, or neurological conditions. For athletes and active individuals, we offer performance-focused programs designed to improve strength, flexibility, endurance, and movement efficiency. Whether your goal is daily function or peak performance, our physical therapy team is here to help you move with confidence.

Elaine E.
I have had several excellent in home physical therapists in the last 5 years. But Dr. Gina has surpassed all of them. My Orthopedist has been impressed at my recovery from my dislocated shoulder. Full credit to Dr. Gina. Her massage, manipulation, and exercise of my shoulder has speeded my recovery and lessened my pain. I am so grateful for her services.
Diane K.
After suffering for 4 months from plantar fasciitis and an Achilles strain, I was feeling pretty hopeless. Then Gina changed my life. From the very first day, she videotaped my gait (I walked like a drunk about to keel over!) and asked to see a pair of old sneakers. Assessing the areas that were worn, she could immediately pinpoint exactly how my gait was off.
We began meeting twice a week, and the improvement was dramatic. After just a few weeks, I was able to walk up a hill — something that had seemed impossible. Now I can walk 25,000 steps without a problem. She is also strengthening my knee so this mess will hopefully not repeat itself.
In other words, I cannot recommend Gina highly enough — working with her will change your life!

Dr Gina and Dr Fay are both super knowledgeable, care deeply about the person they are working with and make sure what ails you gets fixed! Dr Gina has done home visits for me and my daughter and I spent many hours on line with Dr Fay rehabbing a sprained knee. Not only was my knee better, my core, legs and hips are in great shape- has really helped my cycling this season!
Thank you Mobility Health!!

What is physical therapy, and how can it help me?

Physical therapy focuses on improving movement, reducing pain, and restoring function through tailored exercises, hands-on techniques, and patient education. It can help with recovery from injuries, surgeries, chronic pain conditions, and mobility issues.

Do I need a referral from my doctor to see a physical therapist?

This depends on your location and insurance plan. Many states allow direct access to physical therapy without a doctor’s referral, but your insurance provider may have specific requirements.

What conditions can physical therapy treat?

Physical therapy can address a wide range of conditions, including sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, arthritis, chronic pain, neurological conditions (e.g., stroke or Parkinson’s), balance disorders, and general mobility issues.

How long does physical therapy treatment take?

The length of treatment varies depending on your condition, goals, and progress. Some patients may see improvements in a few sessions, while others may require several weeks or months of therapy.

What should I expect during my first physical therapy appointment?

Your first session typically includes an evaluation of your condition, discussion of your medical history, and development of a personalized treatment plan. You may also begin some exercises or hands-on therapy during this session.

Can physical therapy help prevent injuries?

Yes, physical therapy can play a crucial role in injury prevention. Therapists assess movement patterns, identify potential risks, and provide strength, flexibility, and balance exercises to reduce the likelihood of future injuries.
