I have had several excellent in home physical therapists in the last 5 years. But Dr. Gina has surpassed all of them. My Orthopedist has been impressed at my recovery from my dislocated shoulder. Full credit to Dr. Gina. Her massage, manipulation, and exercise of my shoulder has speeded my recovery and lessened my pain. I am so grateful for her services.

After suffering for 4 months from plantar fasciitis and an Achilles strain, I was feeling pretty hopeless. Then Gina changed my life. From the very first day, she videotaped my gait (I walked like a drunk about to keel over!) and asked to see a pair of old sneakers. Assessing the areas that were worn, she could immediately pinpoint exactly how my gait was off.
We began meeting twice a week, and the improvement was dramatic. After just a few weeks, I was able to walk up a hill — something that had seemed impossible. Now I can walk 25,000 steps without a problem. She is also strengthening my knee so this mess will hopefully not repeat itself.
In other words, I cannot recommend Gina highly enough — working with her will change your life!

Dr Gina and Dr Fay are both super knowledgeable, care deeply about the person they are working with and make sure what ails you gets fixed! Dr Gina has done home visits for me and my daughter and I spent many hours on line with Dr Fay rehabbing a sprained knee. Not only was my knee better, my core, legs and hips are in great shape- has really helped my cycling this season!
Thank you Mobility Health!!

Can physical therapy cure me of my physical pain and discomfort?

Physical therapy can significantly reduce or eliminate pain and discomfort by addressing its underlying causes, improving mobility, and strengthening the body. However, whether it can completely “cure” your pain depends on the nature and cause of your condition. Some individuals achieve full relief, while others experience long-term management and improvement. Your therapist will work with you to develop a personalized plan tailored to your needs and goals for the best possible outcome.

How can physical therapy help me prevent a future injury?

Physical therapy helps prevent future injuries by identifying and addressing potential risk factors, such as muscle imbalances, poor posture, or improper movement patterns. Through targeted exercises, mobility training, and education, therapists strengthen vulnerable areas, improve flexibility, and enhance overall stability. You’ll also learn proper techniques and strategies to maintain safe and efficient movement in daily activities, reducing your risk of injury.

What can physical therapy do to help me before a major surgery?

Physical therapy before major surgery, often called “pre-habilitation,” helps prepare your body for the procedure and enhances your recovery. By strengthening muscles, improving flexibility, and optimizing mobility, pre-surgery therapy can reduce post-operative pain, speed up healing, and minimize complications. Your therapist will create a personalized plan to ensure your body is as strong and resilient as possible before surgery.

What will physical therapy help me with before I give birth?

Physical therapy before childbirth helps prepare your body for labor and delivery while addressing the physical demands of pregnancy. It can improve core strength, pelvic floor function, and overall mobility, reducing discomfort and preventing common issues like back pain or pelvic instability. Your therapist can also teach breathing techniques, posture tips, and exercises to support a smoother birthing process and aid recovery postpartum.

Are there any limitation with online physical therapy?

While online (virtual) physical therapy offers convenience and accessibility, it does have some limitations. Therapists cannot provide hands-on techniques, such as manual therapy or certain adjustments, which may be essential for some conditions. Additionally, virtual therapy relies on your ability to perform exercises and movements independently, which may be challenging without in-person guidance for certain individuals or complex issues. However, many patients find virtual therapy highly effective for guided exercises, education, and progress monitoring, especially when in-person sessions aren’t an option.

Is physical therapy able to help me improve my fitness and athletic performance?

Yes, physical therapy can help improve your fitness and athletic performance. Therapists assess your movement patterns, strength, flexibility, and biomechanics to identify areas for improvement. Through tailored exercises, mobility training, and injury prevention strategies, physical therapy helps you optimize your physical abilities, enhance endurance, and reach peak performance while reducing the risk of injury.
